Description
English: El Tambo Congo en 1820, by Martín Boneo. One of three known versions of the painting.[1] Shows General Juan Manuel de Rosas at a candombe. A publisher of one of theversions indicated the scene illustrated an 1838 event.[1] The title of this version indicates an 1820 event. Little is know of the paintings’ creation or whether they were exhibited.[1] Also unclear when paintings were made.
Date Unknown, A version existed in 1903.
