Summary[edit]

El Dios de la Peña (Jesus mocked in the pretorium: Seated, mock scepter, crown of thorns, hands tied together; brief loin cloth knotted over right hip; cloak is red, not purple). The crown is made of two strands of stiffened rope braided together, from which jut out real thorns. Wood, gesso, paint; glass eyes, lashes, wig, sculpted teeth; fabric cape; bamboo-like scepter; life size.
