日本語: アルベルト・アインシュタインとレオ・シラードが可動部のない冷蔵庫のために1920年代に特許申請した電磁ポンプの模式図。パイプの周囲に並べたコイルに位相をずらした交流を流し、生じた誘導磁場と誘導電流によるローレンツ力によって環状チャネル内の液体金属を一方向に流動させる。現在ALIP (Annular Linear Induction Pump)とよばれる形状。独AEG社により試作されたが商用化はなされなかった。後に液体金属を冷却材とする増殖炉で用いられた。1928年申請の英特許GB303065 (A)に基づく。 |
