Description
English: The swastika, or the Thor's hammer as the logo was called, was used as the logo for H/f. Eimskipafjelag Íslands from its founding in Iceland in 1914 until the Second World War when it was discontinued and changed to read only the letters Eimskip.
  • Eimskipafélag Íslands hf. is an international shipping company with 55 offices in 20 countries and four continent, specializing in worldwide freight forwarding services with focus on frozen and chilled commodities. Eimskip was founded on January 17, 1914, with the issue of shares where many Icelanders became founding members and the company was called "the desired child of the nation".
