Deutsch: Gedenkstein für Hans Wilhelm von Gemmingen (1583–1621) im Eichstätter Dom. Der Dargestellte war Domherr in Augsburg und Eichstätt, er starb am 23. Februar 1621 in Böhmen an hitzigem Fieber und wurde im Kloster zu Doppel vor dem Altar der heiligen Dreifaltigkeit begraben. (Biographische Angaben nach: Carl Wilhelm Friedrich Ludwig Stocker: Familien-Chronik der Freiherren von Gemmingen, Heidelberg 1895, S. 344. Dort auch Abschrift der hier gezeigten Tafel.) |
