Druckvorlage für die Illustration in der Zeitschrift Simplicissimus, Jg. 3, Heft 44, S. 346, erschienen am 11.2.1899 mit dem Titel „Censur“ und dem Text „Das is 'n Elend, wenn man einen Vater hat, der Professor der Nationalökonomie is. Jeden Tag muß ich sein geschreibe durchlesen, ob nich was drin is, das sich mit meiner Stellung nich vereinbaren läßt.“
