Summary

[edit]
Description
English: [Original caption] The Pagoda, Eden Gardens. The Eden Gardens are beautifully laid-out grounds and were for many years the gathering place in the evening of the fashionable society of Calcutta. In the gardens is the Calcutta Cricket Ground, and on the side of the water is a picturesque Burmese Pagoda, brought from Prome and set up in 1856. [end] From the very first Tuck's Kolkata series; Eden Gardens is also India's oldest cricket ground.
