Description

Almenning, Norway. The red-brown mineral is garnet, green omphacite and white quartz. Formed at temperature of about 600°C and pressures of 25 kbar (depth 60-70 km) Here's a paper on them: ansatte.uit.no/kku000/hardrock/index_files/pd fs/Cuthbert_...

Bought from Northern Geological Supplies for £12, but they do sell little ones 2x2" at £2.40 !
