Deutsch: Halbes und ganzes Finsternisjahr (346,62 d) im Vergleich zu Mondjahr (354,37 d) und Sonnenjahr (364,24 d). Nach einem halben Finsternisjahr zeigt die Knotenlinie zur Sonne und nach einem halben Mondjahr mit 6 Lunationen tritt eine Finsternis auf. Nach einem ganzen Finsternisjahr liegt wieder derselbe Mondknoten vor der Sonne und nach einem ganzen Mondjahr kann von der Erde aus eine weitere Sonnen- oder Mondfinsternis beobachtet werden. Im Lauf eines ganzen (tropischen) Jahres wird die Verbindungslinie beider Mondknoten um etwa 19,34° rückläufig gedreht. Das Schema zeigt die verschiedenen Zeitperioden in nicht maßstabsgerechter heliozentrischer Darstellung.
