| Description |
English: Ebute Oni is a Sea shore in Oni Ogunquit State Nigeria, the first missionary settlers were attracted to this location because of the presence of coal tar and wide sea shore that aided transportation from Ogun from here to places like Lagos, portharcourt and calabar. On the longer run, the coal tar were over exploited and the natural deposit was exhausted, mysterious plaque befall the missionaries and they started dying in numbers without any identifiable cause, this led to the relocation of the few that were alive and subsequent abandonment of the sea shore. The green vegetation on the picture is the graveyard of the dead missionaries. |
