Summary[edit]

Description Ebony and Ruth spoke at the event about their experiences as athletes and encouraged Botswana’s athletes to make social change in their various arenas. Ebony Hoffman played in the WNBA for 11 seasons for the Indiana Fever, Los Angeles Sparks, and the Connecticut Sun. She now plays in İstanbul, Turkey. Ruth Riley played in the WNBA for 13 seasons and recently retired. She is involved in charitable programs including the Nothing But Nets program, which saves lives through malaria prevention, and the Share Our Strength organization, which enrolls American children in government meal programs for those who cannot afford food.
