Early medieval polyhedral headed pin
Description
English: Early medieval pin: A Middle Saxon polyhedral-headed copper alloy pin, dating to the eighth or ninth centuries AD. The pin comprises a shank of circular section which is slightly bent, but intact. The shank is separated from the head by a single moulded collar . The head's faces are ornamented with single ring-and-dot motifs. The pin measures c.70mm in length, and the head has a width of 9mm.
