Description
English: Early Medieval silver penny of Coenwulf (796-821), substantive type with tribranch moline of two lines in reverse, minted by Seberht or Sigberht at Canterbury, 796-850 AD, BMC93, Cn.5-22, North 342. The Clywd–Powys Archaeological Trust believes the tribrach is supposed to represent the archiepiscopal pall. About three fifths of the coin is lost to old breaks.
