Description

This 777-300ER, with a distinctive special livery, is arriving as EVA Air 12 from Taipei.

Four daily nonstop flights operate between Taipei and Los Angeles, all by Taiwanese airlines: EVA Air 1/11/12 and 15/16 with 777-300ERs, and Dynasty (China Airlines) 5/6 and 7/8 with 747-400s. Other Fifth Freedom operators, such as Malaysia Airlines and Singapore Airlines, no longer fly the route.

For EVA Air, Los Angeles is a key transfer point for codeshare services on US domestic airlines. It's had longtime agreements with American Airlines, and also has agreements with Continental and US Airways; United, after merging with Continental, has taken over the Continental agreements, and EVA Air is further set to join Star Alliance in 2013 and strengthen its partnership with United and US Airways.
