Summary[edit]

Description
English: This screenshot displays the latest spam message being sent to users of the Greek-language servers of browser game Grepolis. The sender of this message petitions Grepolis users to join rival browser game eRepublik, where players of a virtual version of Greece and players of a virtual version of FYROM are engaged in a war. According to the sender of the spam (who has already been banned numerous times by the administrators of Grepolis), it is a matter of honor for Greece to have players in an online game defeat players of a neighboring country with which it is engaged a diplomatic dispute. It is unknown whether such nationalist spam campaigns take place in FYROM as well; similarly, the stance of eRepublik's administrators towards such spam campaigns is unknown.

The (peppered with spelling errors) message reads (translated from Greek to English, trying to maintain the tone, syntax and style of the message):

Good morning my friend,
Greece needs your help urgently !!
Unfortunately over the last days she has lost all her grounds and has been taken over by Skopje and Bulgaria.
Furthermore, an effort has been started by the Skopjans to be recognized in-game as "MACEDONIA" and they will succeed if we don't have your support!
All the above is happening in Erepublik, the most well-known ONLINE game like Grepolis which has over 250,000 players and also 9000 Greek players...
If you really care to support our community and also to stop Skopje from usurping the name of our Macedonia then...
Get in now and join us in the fight.
Click the link and and join the game.

If you are not interested then keep playing your grepolis, gathering stone, wood and whatever else you need and let the Skopjans plunder the reputation and dignity of our HOMELAND.
Thank you in advance
and also don't forget that upon joining you will receive financial help for your development.
