Summary[edit]
DescriptionE02268.jpeg |
English: Sergeant J. C. E. Rosengard, a sergeant cook of the 3rd Battalion drawing rations of bread and hare from a farmhouse, after Strazeele (France, department of Nord), between Sec Bois and Borre, which was used as 3rd Battalion Headquarters. At this time, on account of the rapid evacuation of civilians, there were great quantities of flour, potatoes and livestock left at farmhouses, and the troops defending the area fared well. |
