Summary[edit]

Description
English: A ribbon of dust hung over the Red Sea on February 26, 2010. Waves ripple across the surface of the tan-colored dust in this photo-like image captured by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Aqua satellite. The same air turbulence that caused the waves in the dust is also shaping the clouds over Egypt. A strong storm moved through the Middle East in late February, bringing strong winds and rain to Egypt and the Arabian Peninsula, said news reports. Strong winds blew from the north, creating the dust storm shown here.
