Hic ille est quandom Fratri vix dispar in Arte Français : Traduction du texte: Voilà celui qui jadis, à peine différent de son frère dans l'Art, était heureux. Mais malheureux cependant, il périt par le feu. Non, il n'a pas péri, tu le crois à tort; il reste célèbre par sa réputation artistique. Il revient. En vérité, il est là, rescuscité! Voilà la véritable image du célèbre sculpteur Hieronymus du Quesnoy, peinte, selon la légende, à l'imitation d'un tableau de A. Van Dyck, réalisé au vif. |
