Italiano: "ritratto di Maurizio Maria Giuseppe duca del Monferrato bambino
Il dipinto arriva nel Palazzo Reale di Torino nel 1930 proveniente da quello di Milano, ove era giunto da Parma nel 1865. Datato 1764 e attribuito al pittore torinese Giuseppe Duprà (1703-1784) da A. Griseri (1963), sulla scorta della firma con data che in realtà non è riscontrabile oggi sulla tela, è stato assegnato al fratello Domenico (1689-1770) da E. Bertana/ G. Cambursano (1985). Si tratta del ritratto di Maurizio Giuseppe (1762-1799) figlio di Vittorio Amedeo III e duca del Monferrato. Il confronto più stretto è con il quadro di Giuseppe Duprà che raffigura il piccolo duca con lancia e cagnolino File:Duprà, Giuseppe - Maurizio Giuseppe of Savoy - Stupinigi.png, conservato a Stupinigi: anche l'abito e la cuffia indossati presentano evidenti analogie"
