Description
Italiano: Ex cattedrale dedicata a Santa maria La Cava e i fratelli Alfio, Filadelfo e Cirino, patroni e protettori della città di Lentini. La chiesa ha origine nel periodo paleocristiano, come testimonia la presenza al suo interno, nella navata destra, un complesso di tre arcosoli, scavati nella roccia, luogo di sepoltura dei 3 fratelli. L'attuale chiesa venne costruita dopo il terremoto del 1693 ed ultimata nel 1750. La facciata è di stile tardo barocco, finemente decorata, mentre al suo interno e ricca di decorazioni in stucco, affreschi, tele del XVII-XVIII secolo e molti altri reperti ed opere.
