English: Monument in memory of John Ward Straton. Located right from the chancel. Signed J. G. BUBB SCULP. LONDON. Inscription:

Sacred to the memory of

JOHN WARD STRATON,

of Linsawilly, in the county of Louth,
who departed this life on Tuesday,
May 8th 1921, aged 58 years.

“Mark the perfect man, and behold the
upright, for the end of that man is peace.”

Also sacred to the memory of

CAROLINE EMILY STRATON,

his youngest daughter,
who was drowned at Porto-Bello, Dublin,
on Friday, May 25th 1821,
aged 9 years and 5 months.

“My son! God will provide himself a lamb
for a burnt offering!”

This tablet is incribed as a faint testimony
of the tender affection, and inexpressible grief
of the widow and the mother.
