Description
English: The Duke of Windsor visits the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Leyte (CV-32) off Golfe Juan, Département Alpes-Maritimes, France, in mid-1947. Leyte, with assigned Carrier Air Group 7 (CVAG-7), was deployed to the Mediterranean Sea from 3 April to 9 June 1947 and from 30 July to 19 November 1947.
The Duke of Windsor was the former King Edward VIII of the United Kingdom, following his abdication in 1936.
