Duck.. Mallard Duck Hybrid?? Author-Trisha Shears (Myself) It looks like a Swedish Buff duck. I used to raise them and that's what they look like. Beautiful pic by the way. When Swedish Buffs are ducklings they have lavender coloured bills. They are something else to see. I raised them since they were a couple days old to full maturity and egg laying. This ducks eggs are delicious and they were specifically bred to have a light carcass and chicken-like eggs. If you ever want to eat duck eggs you must collect them in the morning and gently bathe them in white vinegar and soft brush to clean them. Then, make an omelette!
