Summary[edit]

Description
English: Dry Ford. The ford is situated just down the hill from Essendon where Essendon Brook passes under West End Lane. From the height of the footbridge on the right, the water has been quite deep here in the past. But this year it is reduced to a trickle about 3ft below the level of the road. I wonder if the adjacent pumping station has taken all the water?
