Description
English: SANDWICH, Mass. - Coast Guard Lt. j.g. Adam Young, a pilot at Air Station Cape Cod here, helps Teddy McGowan put on a flight helmet with night vision goggles Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007, during a tour of the air station. McGowan, 7, suffers from a chronic intestinal pseudo obstruction and was traveling to Pittsburg, Penn., the following Wednesday for an organ transplant evaluation. The first grader expressed a desire to ride in a Coast Guard helicopter after seeing several fly over his home in Forestdale, Mass., so his parents worked with air station personnel to fulfill his wish.
