English: Drainage Ditch and Stile by the River Dee This drainage ditch is part of the important system that keeps dry the reclaimed marshland by the River Dee. The concrete structure behind the stile is part of the sluice mechanism that blocks the river water from flooding the land during a high tide. The footpath runs along the top of the river bank across the photo. |
