| Description |
English: Drain near Lidsey. The ditch appears to end abruptly, however, if you look closely you can spot brickwork and how the vines have formed a bead curtain type of effect in covering the entrance of a small tunnel. This was built to allow the drain to travel under the Portsmouth-Arundel Canal which is now overgrown though the tow path has been tarmaced and used as a link to the Southern Water works to the east of the picture. Taken from the point just before the footpath from Lidsey Lodge Farm meets that which follow the old towpath. |
