Summary[edit]
DescriptionDown in Kirkstall Forge Goit - geograph.org.uk - 392537.jpg |
English: Down in Kirkstall Forge Goit. Kirkstall Forge Goit was built to carry water to drive machinery at Kirkstall Forge. It starts at the weir just below Newlay Bridge, the weir being there to divert water into the goit. It has probably silted up considerably over the years since it was last used to drive machinery, judging by the size of the sluice by the weir, and the dam where it crosses Cow Beck 382706 |
