Summary[edit]

Description A Royal Air Force Douglas Skymaster Mark I (serial EW999) on the ground at Lyneham, Wiltshire (UK), where it was based for the personal use of the British Prime Minister and his entourage in from November 1944 to November 1945 (it featured heated toilet seats). The aircraft still bears its USAAF serial number on the tail, C-54B "43-17126" at this stage. After return to the USAAF it became became General George Marshall's personal aircraft. It was finally retired in 1970.
