Doug Sahm's 1963 Fender Telecaster (sunburst finish was damaged by water) - body - Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum (2018-08-21 13.40.56 by e Kat)

GUITAR[1]
Doug Sahm used this 1963 Fender
Telecaster as his primary guitar
for many years. He played it
on “Mendocino,” a hit in 1969
for the Sir Douglas Quintet,
and he played it when he
appeared on Austin City Limits in
1975. The original sunburst finish
was badly damaged when the
guitar was submerged in water
