| Description |
English: Don't Fence Me In On Potter Fell the GOML hangover remains despite it being Access Land. The fences with high barbed wire are not designed to keep stock in but to keep the likes of me and you out. Harry Griffin commented that the fell was like a prison camp. Bill Birket left Ulgraves and a couple Wainwright outliers out of his guide due to access problems. The landowners must have been apoplectic when the right to roam became a reality. All that money wasted on barbed wire! |
