Text Appearing Before Image:
gathered 43 Dogs and Puppies strength enough to drag himself towards thehouse. He could not get up the steps though, and lay, half dead with cold and loss of blood, right on the front walk, where the master com-ing home at evening, found him. At first he could not imagine what had hap-pened, but one look at the dining room, with itssilver scattered where the burglar, in his surprise, had dropped it, and at the chairs upturned in thestruggle, and the open window, and the blood-stains on the snow outside, told them all thatwas necessary of the story. The burglar was really afraid at first, untilhe saw that the dog was safely held. He had hadabout all of Patsy he wanted for a long time tocome, and had bites all over his body. Fm notsure but that Patsy got off easier than he did. When he saw Patsy could not reach him, hecursed him, and said that if it had not been forhim, he never would have been caught. So you see it was no wonder the other dogswere a little envious, for of course the wholestory was printe
