         O GLOBO
VAMOS OUVIR O VIOLÃO
    ELECTRICO !
  Henrique Britto, em nossa re-
   dacção, exhibindo curioso
            violão electrico

—— Vamos ouvir o violão electrico!
Foi com essas palavras que hontem,
à tarde, quasi á hora de encerrarmos
os nossos trabalhos, entrou-nos pela
redaccão o Sr. Henrique Britto. Vinha
mostrar-nos a novidade o violão
electrico, invento brasileiro, como não
podia deixar de ser, tratando-se do
nacionalissimo violão, mas... patentea-
do pelos americanos do norte.
  E emquanto fazia a demonstração o
Sr. Henrique Brito nos deliciou com
um repertorio esplendido.
  Trata-se de um apparelho ampliff-
cador adaptado ao violão especialmen-
te permittindo um volume de som per-
feliamente nitido mesmo a duzentos
metros de distancia.
Em Los Angeles, no Theatro Bel-
monte, onde Henrique Brito, deu va-
rios récitaes, foi um successo, expli-
ca-nos elle, não o queriam deixar sair
do palco.
  Tambem em Chicago a aceitação
foi enorme.
  F. Dutra, o idealisador do systema,
e Henrique Brito são os represententes
da Dobro Corporation, na America de
Sul, e vão exhibir a novidade nos
nossos theatros em breves dias.

          THE GLOBE
LET'S HEAR THE ELECTRIC
       GUITAR !
      Henrique Britto, in our edit
      -orial office, showing a curious
                 electric guitar

—— Let's hear the electric guitar!
It was with these words that yesterday
afternoon, almost time to finish
our work, [when] Mr. Henrique Britto entered
us through the editorial office. He came to
show us the novelty of the electric
guitar, a Brazilian invention,
of course, being the most
national guitar, but... patented
by North Americans.
  And while he was demonstrating,
Mr. Henrique Brito delighted us with
a splendid repertoire.
  It is an amplifier device
specially adapted to the guitar,
allowing a perfectly clear sound
volume even at two hundred
meters away.
In Los Angeles, at Theatro Bel-
monte, where Henrique Brito gave
several recitals, it was a success, he
explains to us, they didn't want to let
him leave the stage.
  Also in Chicago the acceptance
was enormous.
  F. Dutra, the creator of the system,
and Henrique Brito are the representatives
of the Dobro Corporation, in South America,
and will exhibit the novelty in
our theaters in a few days.
