English: About the Digital Flag
The Digital Flag was designed in the Centenary of Canberra, Australia. The size is based on the Australian flag dimensions. The red and blue colors are shared with the United States flag. Pantone Blue 288C Red 193C Yellow 387C The 13 stripes (or blinds) represent 2013. The 5 pointed star represents a growing family in addition to matching the 5 pointed stars on the United States flag. The 13 stripes plus 5 pointed star equals 18 markers. 8 is the * symbol on the keyboard as well as the symbol for infinity. The horizon between red and blue is to prevent a war between two parties which is acknowledged both today and throughout human history. The Digital Flag was designed as a symbol of peace and the defense of humanitarian values for world wide web citizens. The Digital Flag flies for the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 1998. |
