Praeputium, l^rogenilalkaiial. 2«)! ^â ()lâ¢llaut, Prae))iitiuin, lie.Qt das Penisende zurückgezogen: bei be- (leuteiidcr Länge desselben liänüg so. dal,! sein proximales, hinter dem Praeputinm gelegenes Stück eine S-fö)-inige Krümmung bildet, wie bei Ungulaten und Cetacea. Bei Erektion hat dann Ausstülpung des inneren Blattes des Praei)ntium statt, das dann verschieden weit den hervorragen- den Penis überdeckt. Im Gegensatz zum äuÃeren P)latt, das meist den unveränderten oder wenig veränderten Charakter der Haut aufweist, ist das innere Platt haar- los â mit Ausnahme des grönländischen Ovibos moschatus, vielleicht in- folge der geringen Temperatur seines Wohnortes â und meist mit tubu- l()sen und acin()sen Drüsen ausgestattet, die zusammen mit abgestoÃenem Epithel das meist stark riechende Smegma praeputii liefern.
