Deutsch: Aquarell "Die Holstenstraße vom Markt aus" des Kieler Malermeisters Johann Christian Wolters (*1811-†1876), auf Papier. Die Konturen wurden mit schwarzer Tinte gezeichnet. Dargestellt ist eine lebhafte Straßenszene: Mittig fährt eine voll besetzte Kutsche und links von ihr bieten zwei Fischhändlerinnen ihre Ware an. Im Vordergrund zwei spielende Hunde. Auf den Gehsteigen links und rechts der Holstenstraße mehrere Paare. Rechts im Bild der aus dem 17. Jahrhundert stammenden Fachwerkbau "Hosmannsches Haus" an der Ecke Holstenstraße Nr. 2 / Ecke Rosenstraße. Das Gebäude wurde Anfang der 1860er Jahre abgerissen. Vor dem Haus sitzt eine Frau und bietet auf einem Tischchen ihre Ware an. Das Gesicht der Frau ist mit rosa Farbe übermalt worden. Gefasst ist das Bild in einen schlichten goldenen Holzrahmen unter Glas. |
