Description
Ελληνικά: Τα γαρίφαλλα είναι αειθαλή, ποώδη καλλωπιστικά, άλλα ετήσια και άλλα πολυετή. Ανήκει στο γένος Dianthus που ταξινομούνται περισσότερα από 300 είδη φυτών. Στην οικογένεια Caryophyllaceae που ανήκει ταξινομούνται περισσότερα από 2000 είδη φυτών.Τα άνθη του γαρίφαλου είναι μεγάλα, αρωματικά, με διάμετρο 4-8 cm. Ανθίζει από τις αρχές Μαϊου μέχρι το τέλος καλοκαιριού. Για καλύτερη στήριξη του φυτού τοποθετούμε ξυλαράκια για υποστήλωση κυρίως στις ψηλές ποικιλίες.
