Summary[edit]

Description
English: The wounded healer archetype diagram used by Jung illustrates the lines of communication in a relationship between the analyst(therapist) and the analysand(client). It is noted communication between the analyst and analysand can move in different twelve directions as denoted by the six double-headed arrows. The wounds of analysts although unconscious can be activated by countertransference when working with clients with similar wounds, causing analysts to acknowledge awareness who may consciously or unconsciously respond, and pass awareness back to the analysand.
