Third Reich/Nazi era German Womens Labour Service brooch. Decorated with swastika, ears of wheat and German motto and name written in Sütterlin: Arbeit für dein Volk - Adelt sich selbst; Deutscher Frauenarbeitsdienst ("Work for your people - ennoble yourself; German Womens Labour Service"). Beginning in 1935 young wome in Nazi Germany were required to fulfill a work period of six months for the benefit of the service of women's work, the Reichsarbeitsdienst (RAD) Deutscher Frauenarbeitsdienst.
