Summary[edit]

Description
English: Desmond Castle, Adare. Also known as Adare Castle. This is believed to have been built in the 12th century, but there may have been an ancient ring-fort at the site before that. The castle was fortified in 1536 and dismantled in 1657. I was unable to gain access due to restoration work.
