English: To light up the Siemens Superstar, technicians had to bond around 9,000 LEDs to the 30-meter-long rotor blades of the Fröttmaning wind turbine. The LEDs provide brilliant light yet save energy: A normal 40-watt light bulb can be replaced by an 8-watt compact fluorescent lamp or by an 8-watt LED lamp – and save 80 percent energy.
Lighted with LEDs, the Superstar is a shining symbol for green innovations.
Deutsch: Um den Stern des Südens zum Leuchten zu bringen, müssen die Techniker insgesamt rund 9.000 LEDs an die gut 30 Meter langen Rotorblätter der Fröttmaninger Windkraftanlage kleben. Die LEDs bieten eine große Lichtausbeute und sparen gleichzeitig Energie: Eine 40-Watt Glühlampe kann beispielsweise entweder durch eine 8W-Kompaktleuchtstofflampe oder durch eine 8W LED-Lampe ersetzt werden, was einer Energieeinsparung von 80 Prozent entspricht. Der Stern ist damit ein leuchtendes Symbol für grüne Innovationen. |
