Summary[edit]

Description
English: U.S. Navy Lt. Terry A. Dennison of fighter squadron VF-162 Hunters leaning on an AIM-9B Sidewinder missile in 1966. VF-162 was assigned to Attack Carrier Air Wing 16 (CVW-16) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Oriskany (CVA-34) for a deployment to Vietnam from 26 May to 16 November 1966. The plane is probably the Vought F-8E Crusader (BuNo 150919, AH-210), in which Dennison was shot down by a North Vietnamese SA-2 missile on 19 July 1966, ca. 50 km north-west of Hanoi. Dennison was captured but died two days later.
