Description
Nederlands: De kerk van St Egidius intra muros (St-Gillis Binnen) in Dendermonde. De oudste gedeelten van de kerk gaan terug tot de dertiende eeuw, de gevel is een vroeg twintigste eeuwse neobarokgevel.

Het altaarschilderij (Frans Verhas (1827-1894), 1859) stelt de door een pijl gevelde kluizenaar Sint-Gillis, die een hinde tegen een jager in bescherming nam, voor. Hij wordt ondersteund door Wamba, de koning van de Westgoten.

Aan beide zijden van het hoofdaltaar hangen het portret van Joos De Bosser pastoor van 1597 tot 1629 en dat van zijn opvolger Hilduardus D'Haens (ca. 1603-1676).
English: Interior of the Church of St Egidius intra muros (St Giles within the walls) in Dendermonde. The oldest parts of the church date back to the 13th century, the facade is early twentieth century neo-baroque.

The altar painting (1859) by Frans Verhas (1827-1894) shows Saint Giles wounded by an arrow. He is supported by Wamba, King of the Visigoths.

The other paintings are portraits of Joos de Bosser, pastor from 1597 to 1629 and of his successor Hilduardus D'Haens( ca. 1603-1676).
