.In 1916 two of his neighbors became Christians. Theyprayed with him, and he was healed. The healingoccupied in all thirteen days. I saw him a few weekslater, smiling, well, and have often seen him in theseyears since the healing.* My No. 6, the wife of a carpenter, was desperatelyill. The trouble began in the fourth month, 1915. Shehad been a widow of rather better social standiug thanhe. Hence arose worry about the marriage. Thereseems also to have been female trouble. Spells of de-monism would come on, usually at night, and last tilldaybreak. She would have pain. The speech wouldbecome thick and confused, the sight blurred. Shecould not eat. In the seventh month diarrhea set in.By the eighth month—late August, early September-she was bedridden, emaciated, sallow. The husband went fifteen miles for Elder ChenYa Koh.
