Description
English: A cold-weather training instructor monitors U.S. Navy sailors as they spend five minutes in near-freezing water as part of SEAL Qualification Training at Kodiak, Alaska, on April 8, 2009. Candidates are completing the rewarming exercise after spending 48 hours in the Alaskan mountains navigating the rugged terrain and surviving frigid conditions. The 28-day cold-weather course is part of the year long process to become a Navy SEAL.
