Use carewhen sliding the ribbon cable past the edge of the RF shield so it will not pull the cables connectorout of its socket. INSTALL THE VT18X CONTROL MODULE Use the following procedure. 1. Check the communications switches on the VT18X control module (Figure 2-16) for the cor-rect positions listed in Table 2-1. The switches allow you to set the VT180 to run on most full-and half-duplex communications modems with application software. Switches 2 and 6 mustbe on for the communications port to function. The other switches may be enabled for thetype of modem you are using. Table 2-1 shows the common configuration and the functionenabled by each switch. NOTE: When installing the VT18X control module, check ROM 0 (location E14) for the latestrevision. Remove ROM part number 23-016E3 and install part number 23-021E3.
