English: Bundles of Khat

July 26, 2006: Operation Somalia Express was an 18-month investigation which included the coordinated takedown of a 44-member international narcotics-trafficking organization responsible for smuggling more than 25 tons of khat ?- worth more than $10 million ?- from the Horn of Africa to the United States.

The indictment represents the largest khat-trafficking prosecution in United States history.
