English: "A Dutch broadside satirising the devastating effect on the progress of Louis XIV's wars of the death of the Duke of Luxembourg with an etching showing the armoured body of the Duke of Luxembourg carried on a bier by six French generals: Marechal de Villeroi (A), Marechal de Catinat (B), Marechal de Boufflers (C), the Duc de Lorge (D), the Duc de Noailles (E), and M. de Montal (F). Two shields hang from the bier: one with the plan of Namur (G) and the other with the plan of Cassel (H). Resting on Luxembourg is a large globe (I), lettered "Europa" and representing according to the key, "La Monarchie Universelle". Behind, to left, is a rouined classical building representing the cemetery of St Denis (K); to right, the battle of Fleurus (L; the print torn here); to left, the battle of Landen (M). Engraved inscription, lettering A-M, and with French and Dutch letterpress titles, legends, and text in four columns in the form of a dialogue between the generals and the Ottoman Grand Vizir suggesting that the Sultan will abandon his alliance with Louis XIV unless the French can recoup military failures following the death of Luxembourg.
