| Description |
Nederlands: Ingesloten tussen een complex van pakhuizen aan de Lijnbaansgracht en Brouwersgracht ligt het onderkomen van een bijzonder bedrijf. De stadspakhuizen dienden in de 17e en 18e eeuw voor het opslaan van geschut en als graanschuren in tijden van schaarste. Eind 19e eeuw begon de familie van Wees de Amsterdamse distilleerderij, die eind jaren '50 het toen al tweehonderd jaar oude bedrijf de Ooievaar in handen kreeg. Volmaakt geluk, Venusolie, Amsterdam elixer en Hansje in de kelder behoren tot de zestig likeuren die hier worden gemaakt. A. van Wees’ distilleerderij De Ooievaar is de laatste van de ooit 500 Amsterdamse stokerijen, die nog volop in bedrijf is.
