To commemorate an extraordinary Seattle icon, the Seattle City Council unanimously adopted a resolution to establish the honorary designation of "Dave Niehaus Way South" on First Avenue South between S. Royal Brougham Way and Edgar Martinez Drive South. To celebrate Dave's life, the Council also unanimously proclaimed the Seattle Mariners Opening Day, April 8, 2011, as "'My Oh My' Dave Niehaus Day" to honor him. |
